The NIAS Campus

NIAS has four buildings for its activities, as well as a number of houses, apartments and guest rooms which are leased to Fellows.

The main building includes individual, fully equipped studies for Fellows, a lecture room, a seminar room, a reference library, a common room, a photocopying and mail room, a public work room, as well as offices and facilities for Staff.

The Ooievaarsnest (Stork's Nest) contains the restaurant, and a common room cum kitchen (the "Blue Room") for use by Fellows. The Ooievaarsnest also has studio apartments and guest rooms for Fellows.

The Uilenest (Owl's Nest) contains the apartment for the Guest of the Rector and two two-room apartments with a shared kitchen.

The Conference Building has a conference hall, 23 studio apartments, and laundry facilities.

The large grounds of the Institute include wooded areas, gardens, terraces, a volleyball court and a large chess board. A bicycle shed and car park are also available on the premises.
