Johannes Engelkamp, born in Hagen, Germany, in 1937. Ph.D. from Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Bochum. Professor of Psychology at the Universität des Saarlandes, Saarbrücken.

I worked on the relationship between a verbal-semantic memory and nonverbal memory subsystems, particularly a motor subsystem. A second field of interest was speech act processing.
