NIAS-Lorentz Programme

Important information: New format for the NIAS-Lorentz programme

The NIAS-Lorentz programme is currently being updated which means that the application format for Fellows in previous years is no longer available.
The new NIAS-Lorentz format will be published on this page later this year and will open in January 2012 for the year 2013-14.

NIAS-Lorentz Fellowships Programme

The NIAS-Lorentz Fellowship programme is a joint venture between the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences in Wassenaar (NIAS) and the Lorentz Center in Leiden. The programme was launched in 2006 to promote interdisciplinary research that bridges the gap between the humanities and/or the social sciences on the one hand and the natural sciences on the other. Lorentz Fellowships are awarded by NIAS to scholars whose research projects cross the boundaries of the humanities, the social sciences and the natural sciences.
