Rector

Wim Blockmans, born in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1945. Ph.D. from the University of Ghent (1973). Professor of Social History at Erasmus University Rotterdam 1975-1987. Professor of Medieval History at Leiden University since 1987. Rector of NIAS since September 2002.
